Today in our neighborhood

Our community center is closed, but our lifestyle director is working from home. So far we are having a luau at home and taking selfies to send in. She left buckets of chalk at the door to the closed center so we could write cheerful messages on our driveways and sidewalks. Many neighbors are out walking....keeping a decidedly unsocial distance.
Lots of things have been cancelled at the moment, but at least we are able to get out in the open air and walk.

Lovely messages on the ground. Same here. Everything closing down now, just a few shops left open and people being implored to socially distance as there are a ridiculous amount of people taking no notice of the restrictions. I guess the use of the word "mild" has lulled many into thinking this virus is nothing much for most, but it really isn't. It just means you stop short of pneumonai but you are mostly really unwell for a while on "mild" version. Crazy. Lovely to see such bright cheering things still going on in this mad world. Lots of love to you and yours.

Great idea! I have chalk that I bought when my grandchildren were visiting- I should write a good thought on our road- except it's supposed to snow tomorrow!

Your lifestyle director is very creative! It's odd to see so many people out walking here - almost like a movie, not real life.

Strange to see everyone walking. It is starting to get weird here too!

@jernst1779 Does seem more like a movie sometimes. It doesn’t show in the photo, but at least we are all calling out greetings to each other.
