Like a bird on the wire, by shutterbugger

Like a bird on the wire,

Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

love the simplicity and composition on this. re your wedding shoot on 22nd, i would advise you scout out the venues you'll be shooting at around the same time as the wedding so you can work out where the sun will be and where the best place for large groups and the individual shots can be...for me it was an apportunity also to work out what I would do if it rained...which was a blessing in disguise as it p'd it down on the day and i wouldn't have had a clue what to do! if you can, get a second camera body so you don't have to change lenses and work out what lenses you need prior to the shoot. Also make sure that you have a list of the photos required and know how long you've got. I had 30 minutes to take 15 shots but I figured it'd take 3 minutes per shot by the time you've got the crowds in place....so we had a "must have" list and a "nice to have list" this was good, cos grandma was late by 15 minutes which would have put me under loads of pressure if we hadn't have discussed that beforehand!
Ref style of shots, check with your friends whether they want formal or natural shots...lots to think about, but you'll have a ball, i'm sure

@sparkle Thanks Juliette! The wedding is at 10AM in her backyard and I've already asked her if I can come over a week before and scope out the light and the space. She's asked that I come over at about 9 to get some shots of her getting ready...which I think is cutting it a bit close. It's very casual, and she's told her sister that she doesn't want anything posed BUT she'd like to go to a different location afterward...so obviously there will be some poses involved.
I've got 3 lenses to work with 55-250, 50 and 18-55. I'm thinking an extra body would be a good idea. Maybe I'll see if I can use Sean's. He'll be there though, and I don't know if he'll want it.
Going to start a list on my phone of questions to ask! (especially the rain plan!)

Love this - I want to have taken it - fav! The wedding's in Salford? You'll need a rain plan :0))

@judithg If the wedding were in Salford...I would have asked a lot more than $300!! It's a few blocks away from me...right here in Canada ;)
