I made a trip down to McConnell's Mill State Park today to see as Minor White used to say, "What will be given to me today." The huge boulders that line Slippery Rock Creek are believed to have been deposited during an ice age. I want to make many more trips back to record the beauty of this area.
@todimf - Thank you Cecilia!! But this wasn't edited. (:
I used a 3.0 neutral density filter which blocks the light entering the camera by 10 stops. That way you can leave your shutter open longer and that allows the water to blur. The faster the water is moving the more the blur.
@kwind - Thank you so much for the very kind comment!!
here is a link to a Scott Kelby You Tube video on taking long exposures that I never knew or even thought about that might help. One thing though. I looked for gaffers tape and it is really expensive. So, I take the rubber guard off my viewfinder and use a piece of vinyl electrical tape to cover the viewfinder. It works as well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_dKH2mLt0c
