Last week my wife and I were on our way home from picking up her new car and I saw this barn with the perfect tree beside it. I mentioned I'd like to get a picture of it. She wanted to stop, but it was cloudy. I told her I would go back when the sky was blue. Today it was blue.

I saw your update - I am in the same boat - no time this summer but check in one in a while. I will keep following because I enjoy your lovely pictures.
I am so glad your daughter is doing well and sad she had to lose her hubby.
@skipt07 Yep, I check in every now and again...still upload photos periodically, though I do it in Privacy mode so as not to flood the feed!
What a hard anniversary it must have been (reading your update)...I like your way of celebrating it as his "one year birthday in heaven". Take care Skip
@lynnb - Actually it was much better than we thought. It was our daughter's idea to make a cake and sing, "Happy birthday". She has been doing amazingly well. She did say that there are days she misses him more than others.

This shot is well composed... lovely clouds and barn textures. I am reading along and so sorry about your family's loss - what a difficult year for you and your daughter. My sympathies... I hope you don't feel badly about just posting when you can and not worrying about commenting. As you know, folks view each other's work to learn and to share, not just to get "fav" clicks. :) Congrats on the PP.

Thank you Skip, like you I am not always around but I will follow you too as I like your work also. I am So sorry to read about your daughter's loss, liife must be tough for her at this time but it will hopefully get easier as time passes.
I have a daughter who has been ill for the past year and a half and is so ill she is bed bound and the trouble we are having with the medical profession trying to get to the bottom of it is awful. We can only hope and pray she gets well.

@elaine55 - My it sounds like you have your hands full too! That is what we did a lot of during our time. Pray, pray and pray some more! God has been good through all of this past year. He has provided her needs through ways we could have never imagined. While there is a ways to go we have put our trust in Him. Our son-in-law's death didn't catch God off guard and so we are trusting that He has a plan to see us through this!
