I haven't had the desire to take photos lately. I think I need to back away for awhile. But every now and then I get the urge. So my sporadic picture taking might even become more sporadic!
Skip, If you feel the need to take a break, I completely understand. But, I hope you don't. I really enjoy your eye for photography a good example is this shot. Fav!
This is beautiful in its simplicity.
Know what you mean about pacing yourself - I think it's best to go with your instincts but please keep posting as and when you feel the urge.
Beautiful picture. I think most of us have high and low with photography. Some days pics seem to jump out at me screaming take me take me other days I think they hide when they see me coming. :)
Love lighting on this with the black background. I appreciate where you are in this process...I waiver back and forth about backing off a bit. But then I do miss everyone and all their lovely photos, so I suppose If I do, then I will at least check in from time to time.
@thistle - Thank you Joyce! I hope you found a subject that was so inspiring that you found that excitement to keep going again! Many times when I stop trying so hard is when I find that thing that cries out, "Here I am! Can you see me?"
Great shot.
I have thought this so much this year.
My time to edit my shots, and upload is very limited this year and my monthly calendar will show I am massively behind, let alone comment and look through everyone else's.
You get what you put in and I am uploading and going mostly unnoticed I think which is totally understandable.
The thing is I still want to get much better and take the photos I like looking at, and this project has helped me over the last 3 years to learn a bit more about the whole process.
I have still managed a shot a day even though some are just dire but I am determined to capture something every day and complete one whole year!
