Japanese Beetle by skipt07

Japanese Beetle

They are a serious pest of about 200 species of plants, including rose bushes, grapes, hops, canna, crape myrtles, birch trees, linden trees, and others.
But, they still have beautiful iridescent colors and markings.
Beautiful in an evil sort of way -- a great macro shot !

This is great -- wonderful against the bright green background and so clear in the details of the beetle.

Beautiful iridescence, ugly effect on the garden. Do not like these things!

I loathe these insects. They have murdered so many leaves in my yard... it now looks like fall instead of early summer at my place.
