Corn and Windmills by skipt07

Corn and Windmills

My wife and I drove to the Land of Lincoln (Illinois) to watch our oldest granddaughter graduate from college with a degree as a Veterinarian Tech. The day we left we spent time with her, her brother and sister who drove up from Florida and our daughter. She took us to this windmill farm where we found the corn a lot further along than back home where it is just breaking through the ground. It was cloudy and very windy!
Imagine those windmills were whirring big time then - like the strong color you've got and nice details.

This photo could have been taken in The Netherlands, except that we don't grow the corn in such neat rows. Nice capture.

@bintal - That is interesting about the difference between planting corn in the Netherlands and here.

It reminds me of a wind farm near to us, except it's not corn but grape vines.

great shot of the cornfield and wind farm … I really like the straight, bright green rows … I should get out and take pictures like this, it's all around me!
