The temps have bottomed out (14 -10C) and some wildlife surprisingly is out scavaging for seeds, nuts or whatever they might find. Not sure what it found, but probably a sunflower seed.
@gardencat - Squirrels don't actually hibernate, but if it gets really cold they will sleep for long periods of time giving the appearance that they hibernate.
