WWYD183 challenge

After submitting my first entry for this challenge I thought I'd try a completely different route and go alien.

@not_left_handed Having looked at the submissions by you and Skip I am blown away by the imagination at play here. Looking at the common elements I think I get a fair idea what the original image was but you have both added so much and moved in different directions. If either of you are familiar with CS Lewis’ The Magician’s Nephew I feel a bit like I am jumping into those pools in the “between” world and coming out in different worlds.

@gardencat - Wow, that is an honor to be associated with the work of C. S. Lewis!
If you click on the link in the commentary of the photo above you'll see the original.

If the tree was just a little bigger, I'd say it was one of the Little Prince's Baobab trees. Excellent entry!

@rosiekind @vernabeth - How I created this compilation.
Without going into a lot of detail;
I started with the original and opened it in PhotoShop
I first removed the sky
I edited the foreground to give it a barren look
I then made a copy of just the tree
I then inserted the space image for the background sky
Next, I placed the copy of the tree over the sky image.
