The clock winder. by snowy

The clock winder.

Twice a week my husband winds the clock at the village church .It was installed in 1919 as a war memorial .The clock by J B Joyce has gold leaf hands and figures cost £268.00
Oh, it is so wonderful to learn that things like this are still being done by a person and not some remote controlled "thing-a-ma-bob!"

Brilliant picture - I love going up to the church clock -are the pantomime costumes still up there - there were boxes and boxes of them up there last time I went with Dad,all with labels saying things like Hats (Not Sailor) and Wigs (Various).
if you look on Karen's page for yesterday, you can see almost the same picture I took at the picnic, but I'm sitting next to her empty place instead of Karen sitting next to my empty place!
The Famous Helen???? LOL, as Ed would say!
