Today is our wedding anniversary. These pearls were my wedding present from my husband. The b&w pic is me wearing them on "the day " in 1963!! The top picture and this lovely card are from today.
Oh Diana! Gorgeous picture! Happy Anniversary!
You know what really excites me, though......those are the exact pearls that I have, that my grandmother gave to me to wear at my wedding 30 years ago.
They are the same length as yours, graduated like yours, and they have the exact same clasp!
I'm giving them to Kelsey for her wedding, but unfortunately, I just broke the fine hook that fits in the clasp, and in order to save the vintage clasp I have to have the whole thing re-strung, but unfortunately again, I don't have time to do it before the wedding, so I might have to change out the whole clasp, myself. Grrrr!
Anyway, lovely little vignette!
That picture rings a bell. it's lovely and i like the way you got the picture of your wedding in it as well. .. I also have the same necklace and had to replace the clips as it would have cost me a dollar a pearl to restring. I gave this necklace to my grandaughter Britney on her 21st birthday.
Happy belated wedding anniversary.. The pearls are lovely and I just love the wedding picture you included. It is a very sweet collage of precious memories and keepsakes.
Happy Bleated Wedding Anniversary!!!! I wore pearls too even though so many peple advised me too as they are supposed to represent tears and trouble..hehe..proved them wrong hey!! I still have mine they are freshwater pearls though so not the perfect round shape :)
Congratulations and well done as its not often couples reach their pearl nowadays. My Mum and Dad made it through and are on their 47th. The necklace is so elegant and beautiful and your collage really commemorates this milestone for you both :)
