1973 Corvette Stingray interior

What a difference 15 years makes in Corvette interior design (if you missed yesterday's 1958 Corvette interior, here it is: http://365project.org/soboy5/365/2013-07-17)

By 1973, federal safety standards required padded dashboards, seat belts and collapsible steering columns. No air bags yet, so this '73 Vette still has a gorgeous steering wheel with aluminum spokes.

Best viewed large.
what a great shot and comparison.

Don't know how I've been missing all your photos lately; especially the 'Vettes. But I really like this interior photo, as well as the last few. keep them coming!

Interesting - great to see how conventions changed over the decades. Still looks like a great piece of machinery.

It has changed. You still look close to the dash but not quite as crowded. I liked the red dash yesterday - but I guess this is classier.

Much plainer than the nearly art deco design of the previous car. Well seen.
