Leaving Washington Square Park to meet my son in Midtown, I decided to get there by walking instead of the subway. First stop was NYU. I was amazed how quiet this university-based neighborhood was compared to the insane hustle and bustle of the rest of Manhattan. We"ll be here for the next five days or so. Best viewed large.
Good street scene. I love walking in NY! When I went with my daughter in the 80s we walked from the former World Trade Center to our hotel on 46th and another time from our hotel for about 40 blocks (at night!) on Park Avenue to where that elevated part of the subway is. ?? forgot the neighborhood.
