Thanks for all the very nice comments and favs on yesterday's Sunrise image - they are very much appreciated!
Now on to another classic car mini-series: more interesting American cars from the 1960's. This beautifully restored 1966 Ford Fairlane Squire was decorated with period correct surfboards and California surf shop window stickers. It looked great and instantly reminded me of this amazingly soulful song by The Mamas and the Papas:
"All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray.
I've been for a walk on a winter's day.
I'd be safe and warm if I was in L.A.;
California dreamin' on such a winter's day..."
Woodies always make me think of California, the surfing lifestyle and the Beach Boys:
"Early in the morning we'll be startin' out
Some honeys will be coming along
We're loading up our Woody
With our boards inside
And headin' out singing our song..."
Have a great Wednesday! Tomorrow we will take a look at the period correct vintage surfboards and California surf shop window stickers on this marvelous Ford woody.
