The 1970 Plymouth GTX muscle car featured an "Air Grabber" hood scoop which was opened by a remote control switch activated by the driver. It came standard with shark decals on each side of the scoop - just the thing to psych out the competition at stoplights!
@fueast Alison, it is a hood scoop which allows cold air to be forced directly into the engine's carburetor, increasing horsepower. Hood scoops were very popular during the muscle car era of the mid 1960's through the early 1970's.
