Imagine my surprise to find a Jaguar D-Type in downtown Norcross, Georgia during the British car festival. The winner of the fabled Lemans 24 hour endurance race in 1955, 1956 and 1957. Of course, this is a replica, although a very fine one. Real D-Types (less than 90 were produced) are currently valued at $5,000,000. In contrast, this replica seems like quite a bargain, as it is being offered for sale for $89,900. Two footnotes:
1. I am taking the nf-sooc-sept challenge quite literally, as the images I am posting have not even been resized or renamed. They are literally sooc in every respect.
2. If you look closely, you will notice some small stone chips and paint imperfections in the Jaguar. Most of the classic cars I photograph have some imperfections, and they are normally removed in post processing. It is refreshing to present these classic vehicles to you during this challenge in their correct, non-perfect condition.
