Thanks for all the wonderful comments on yesterday's final image from year 3 - it made PP which is always a thrill. Your kindness, friendship and support is the reason I am here for the start of year 4.
No break needed as I am in the mood to post today. I celebrated the successful conclusion of year 3 by ordering myself a speedlight this morning!
For today's image, I searched my archives for one of the very first images I took with a digital camera (an Olympus D460Z with only one megapixel of resolution). This was taken on a two week family vacation to Utah and Arizona. We spent our time at the many national parks in the American Southwest. Our first stop was Zion. And while we knew very little about Zion before the trip, it blew us away with its zen beauty.
This image was taken from the quaint town of Springdale, Utah, outside of the park's southern entrance, looking at the canyon walls that are half a mile high.
Great start to Year 4! That must have been quite a sight to see. The rock formations are lovely. My first digital photos were taken when I was in real estate - a bunch of homes, interior and exterior. I used to love making up flyers.
A beautiful image of such an iconic place! This is the perfect time of year to visit...not crowded and you can actually drive through instead of parking and taking a bus. Lovely lovely capture. The colors and layers just pop! Fav
I didn't know of Zion National Park (English, never been there). It is beautiful. Great shot, Danny, I remember 3 MP! Definite fav, nice start to your 4th year.
@ivan Thanks Ivan. Zion is the most beautiful national park I've ever been to, it is like being in a cathedral made by mother nature. Takes your breath away. I still have the Olympus, it still works - it is only 1.3 megapixels so the resolution is not that great but it has a nice f/2.8 lens.
Congrats Danny.
