The Austin-Healey Sprite Mark 1 was a small, low-cost, open sports car produced from 1958 - 1961. It is known as the Bugeye in the U.S. and the Frogeye in the U.K. because its headlights were prominently mounted on top of the hood, inboard of the front fenders.
My school chemistry teacher had one of these … he drove it past me on my bicycle every morning. Was I envious…? This looks great without any distractions. Fav
What a super restoration of an iconic vehicle... and I love the colour - in the UK these were often finished in rather pale and insipid colours - sports cars should be eyecatching. Fav for old-time's sake.
@jyokota Thank you! I am a classic car fan, always have been. My cousin bought one of these new. Great memories of riding in his Sprite with the top down on a beautiful summer day in NYC.
