Birds in the River

Spotted as I walked by the river on Tuesday afternoon.

I only see herons very rarely and usually as they flap away into the distance :)

@4rky We have one, sometimes a pair, in that stretch of the river every summer. They fish there by the little dam, so they stand nice and still for their photo.

What a pretty spot. I bet is sounds so nice with the little waterfalls too.

@gardenfolk It does sound nice, especially on a really hot day, it makes it seem cooler.
