Cracked

Another Siskind effort. less abstract than the other two. It is hard to make something so mundane interesting (give it a go). I like the natural crack against the hard lines. It just caught my attention. I think this will be too simple for most.
nicely done... i've been thinking about this particular artist challenge but haven't managed to wrap my mind around it fully... i find his work a tad inaccessible...

Love the symmetry interrupted by that marvelous crack.

@mzzhope thanks Hope. That was my reaction as well. I am pretty confident most people will think....meh! Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

Sem
loving that crack, just goes to show despite our best intentions of order, a little chaos always creeps in.

There is alot of judging going on right now...

@semjaja too true. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

@dextermurray if only I had a broken glass to shoot.........
September 11th, 2013
@spanner not everyone can be as privileged as me and have broken glass and a canon...
September 11th, 2013
@dextermurray never mind Dexter, one day you will grow up and get a proper camera like a Nikon. Enough now. Good luck with the exams. Remember blur next week.

@soniami damned cat!

@spanner Thanks sir! Hopefully I gain some inspiration soon.

For some reason when I looked at it, I started humming Pink Floyds Another Brick In The Wall :-) I've been staring at the shot for a while, which is a good thing :-)

I think you've succeeded well, it's mundane and it's interesting, like Allison, I too have Pink Floyd on my head now
September 11th, 2013
@allisonraposa @susale Brilliant responses. Now I am going to have to blast out some Pink Floyd. Thanks for taking the time to look and to comment.

simple but effective. I like it.

Love this. Fantastic abstract
September 11th, 2013
@channelf Thank you. I tried a less abstract effort. Glad you like it.

@rachelwithey Thank you Rachel - I feared it would be too simple for most. Love hearing from you.

Looks very artistic to me too - but first impression is almost Mondrian, rather than Siskind. Do love that crack though!
September 13th, 2013
@angelat I hadn't considered Mondrian, I see what you mean. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.
