From today it starts the week of Case Mazzanti, a five day project inside the 365 project. I took some photos of an ancient building in Verona, I made a panorama and then I sliced it into five pieces. I did this because otherwise the whole panorama would be too wide to fit in the website and all the details would be lost.
Located on the eastern side of the central square Piazza delle Erbe, the Case Mazzanti are one of the oldest building in the city and a wonderful example of ornamental painting of facades. The use of painting the exterior facades of buildings is very old, and in the city of Verona this practice was so widespread that during the Renaissance, the city had earned the nickname "Urbs Picta" or painted city.
