In Porto Ercole (Argentario - Tuscany) there is a local event dedicated to the Pirates.
For three days all the town became a lair of pirates with people dressed in costumes and the shops changed to look like old taverns.
Some of the pirate crews dressed differently from what a pirate usually looks like. This year we got Statues, Vikings and Arabian pirates.
All the crews parade along the main street and then there is the spectacular landing.
This year there was also the re-enactment "the Corsair Barbarossa conquers Porto Ercole" and the old town burned in flames.
