For many years my husband has been looking after 3 or 4 rescued guinea pigs. This lady is the last surviving one of the latest group. The name she came with we have long since forgotten. Now we call her "Hairy", as she is long-haired guinea pig whose hair needs a fair amount of maintenance! Here my husband is holding her as he sits in the garden.

Cute. We have had a number of guinea pigs over the years, and I have a special place in my heart for them. Most of ours have been short-haired, but we had one long-haired Peruvian and one that was half Peruvian and half Abyssinian, so I understand the need for the maintenance.
