Spock-20141023

A few weeks ago a pontoon bridge was built over the Scheldt in Antwerp to commemorate the bridge that was built here in 1914 to get military supplies into the city, and later to evacuate when the Germans captured Antwerp.

We were lucky to get across, because the organisers had miscalculated the speed at which people would cross, and several time slots were cancelled, resulting in a lot of unhappy people who had bought tickets months in advance.

Quite a process getting on to the bridge! Thanks for showing this great event. I love your choice of music too! Did your ticket include the return walk?

@maggiemae Thank you, Maggie! The crossing was only one way, to return one had to use the existing pedestrian tunnel.
