I live in Bedford UK. This afternoon as I walked through my local park, the scene was very similar. The playground has similar coloured houses, and there was a large group of fully clad muslim women enjoying a picnic sitting at the side. The men, however, do not tend to dress like this or show up at the park in the same way. It's the first time any of your posts have shown anything remotely similar to the environment I live in, and so todays post is fascinating to me for different reasons to the usual ones.
@shannejw yes, in winter time friday afternoons and evening are dedicated to barbecues and picnics in the city parks. @jacqbb@huvesaker@bkbinthecity@mandygravil thanks! @helenhall park picnic is a serious business on both sides of the gulf and middle east in general. Generally the whole family gathers, and after dinner a common scene is the group of women and men in separated circles chatting all night around a sheesha / narghilè.
