I came home to this horrifying scene of these crows devouring a dead rodent...yes that is a small animal being pecked at. Eeew! My cat was acting furious. She was meowing with great trembles in her kitty voice at the crows. Maybe she caught the mouse and was upset that the crows got a hold of it. At first I was horrified and didn't want to look. Then I remembered that this week's theme for Mad Hatters was "Hitchcock Master of Suspense Week". The movie "The Birds" popped into my head, and I got out the camera. Now I know that "The Birds" was a color movie, but I thought this scene looked more haunting in black and white.
Instant FAV! Fabulous pic for the theme. It's a shame we still don't live in IL. We used to get thousands of crows in our yard each fall as they migrated south. So creepy! LOL!
