Match day at the Chelsea football ground for the Brazil v Russia match.
Just before kick-off I was heading out of the ground to the TV compound and walked past these carnival dancers who were about to go onto the pitch to entertain the crowd. They were really nice and seemed up for a laugh, posing for a few press photographers nearby before going out. I felt a little sorry for them as they had next to nothing on, and it was another freezing, and bitterly cold day in Chelsea.
It's a bit of snap, taken on my new Fuji X20 and i'm still getting used to using it. The settings are pretty much ready to go when I turn it on - as with my SLR I am shooting in Aperture Priority - but i'm still getting used the manual zoom lens which you also use turn to power the camera on and off. So I keep turning it on and rather than zoom in, I switch it off, due to the zoom being the opposite way round to when I use my SLR.
But I love the colours, and I like the fact I've just about captured a candid shot of the girls as they're getting ready, rather than a posed line-up shot which they did for all the press guys.
@andycoleborn Thank you. And this camera has a viewfinder but I am getting used to the fact that the LCD is a much better and 100% accurate for framing. The VF is OK, but only features around 85% of the frame so for situations like the one above it pays to just look at the LCD.
