Day 009, Year 2 - Selfie By Candlelight

Best viewed large, on black if you have time :)

This is inspired from a magazine article that I was given over Christmas. I had a few tea lights lit - I do like a bit of candlelight - so thought I'd put them all together and do a self-portrait.

I think I might try a few selfies this year, for the sake of recording my image in a few different styles, or locations or scenarios rather than for ego's sake. :)

I started with my 7D on the tripod but then got my Fuji X100 which is very noticeably better in very low light. I'm sure the newer EOS models would be great here, but the f2 lens and the low-light capability on the X100 meant it gave the better image.

@bethanyjay Bethany, this was indeed candlelight only. The X100 is awesome in low-light, with very low noise.
