This is taken on the steps in front of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square in central London. I had to pop into the city to run a couple of errands so I had a very relaxing wander and a coffee and ended up walking toward the Square. I walked around it for quite a while just looking to find a photo. I snapped various things and eventually found myself sitting on the steps for this. I could have done with my SLR, with better controls over exposure and focus but I am happy with it.
I think it came up really good! I love the pop of color against the grey steps.. I remember sitting there once to enjoy the same relaxing time and coffee. I'm going to Spain next month, maybe I can just go to London in a weekend and try one of these amazing shots of yours. You nail it every single time.
@stevecameras for sure, we always want to be pushing forward and trying to get a better shot, but now and again we just have to stop and look at what we've done and think "yeah, that just works!"
