This was taken on the way up to Aberdeen last week for the One Day International cricket match between England and Scotland. I have looked on the map and this is certainly the coastline just south of Stonehaven. In fact, somewhere in the middle of the shot in Dunnottar Castle. The resolution isn't good enough to see it but the map says it's in there somewhere.
I love a window seat on every flight precisely for this reason. As I write this I will be on a flight in the morning to Barcelona, so hope that I can check-in and change my seat for one with a view...!
Really amazing. A long time ago I gave up trying to get shots out of plane windows … but since then I have seen some spectacular things out of plane windows and bought new camera gear … and seeing stuff like this is very inspiring!! Might have to give it another go!
Fantastic! I agree with Lyn, this is possibly the best out the plane window shot I have ever seen as well. I visited Dunnottar Castle way back in 1996, but still remember that spectacular and rugged coastline.
I agree , I have never seen a better out of window plane shot & believe me I have tried lots! Fabulous detail & so interesting particularly the different shades of blue sea.
