Day 101, Year 3 - Sun Shines Down On Mortlake

This is taken from Chiswick Bridge overlooking the Thames river and the Mortlake Boat House, the site of the finish of the Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race. We were very fortunate that the sun came out to play after a very wet morning, so I had to grab a shot of how nice it was, just in time before my battery ran out.

3 good things:

1 - A lovely lunch with colleagues before the race, in a very nice cafe in Barnes
2 - A great Boat Race, and an historic one given the first Women's race on the same day as the Men's
3 - Sleeping in a proper bed after getting home to my brother's house
Hope you cheered (fruitlessly) for Cambridge!

@judithg It was a bit of shame...always next year though!

Will be the same result unless we can sink them again! Or abandon all pretence that the rowers are actually studying.

@judithg I agree with you :))

Wow the clouds look 3D. Super image for a great occasion (although sadly not for Cambridge)

You would never know that this is in the middle of a city! It was a good race to watch but one was far better than the other!
