Day 017, Year 5 - Sundown At The Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque
Best viewed large on black if you have time :)
I made another visit to the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi with a colleague yesterday and I tried to take a few different shots from the ones I took last year. This is actually a big crop of an ultra-wide shot I took with my Fuji. By correcting the vertical posts of the Mosque which were massively leaning in toward the middle of the frame, it made the whole thing just look a bit naff. So I cropped in on the main building itself and slightly tweaked the tone to accent the late-afternoon desert sunlight.
1 - A good day on site getting kit ready ahead of the Abu Dhabi golf tournament
2 - A lovely visit to the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque
3 - A great run along the Corniche road with the beach and sea to one side, and the city and skyscrapers to the other - a great route
This is excellent, Steve. I wondered how you'd gotten a tilt/shift on your Fuji, then read your explanation. The couple of people in front just add to the awesomeness. Hope you plan to put this on the wall; it's great.
