December 2018 and someone gave me a tip that they had seen a Kingfisher at the stream not far from where I was so not being one to miss an opportunity, I went to see if I could find it.
After what seemed like ages, my phone rang so I placed my camera on the ground to answer it. As I looked around, the Kingfisher had landed in the reeds right beside me. The phone disappeared in the long grass as I made a grab for my camera and luckily, the Kingfisher sat there just long enough for a couple of shots. I then had the job f finding my phone again which you will be happy to know did return to me.
