022 Radishes

fresh radish... Folklore : There is an event held in Oaxaca, Mexico each year called the "Night of the radishes" dedicated to artistic carving of of over-sized radishes. Farmers began carving radishes as a marketing ploy at Christmas markets in the square which began in 1897. Competitions were so popular that the event became annual tradition in Oaxaca, Mexico.
