This is a pic I took a couple of years ago. The circumstances were exciting. I visited a Dutch friend in Portugal. We drove around the countryside of the beautiful Alentejo region. Then we discovered this old and half abandoned (that’s what it made even more exciting: anytime someone could come and we had to hide) stone factory. We photographed it inside and outside for hours. So wonderful to be able to follow your passion for hours and hours without any time pressure. I just found this pic again and had to share it with you :)
It is fascinating in every detail. The broken glass shapes make a great study in themselves but the overall composition and colouring and atmosphere it creates is really great.
I love all the different shapes the broken glass makes. I was so busy looking at the windows that I didn’t see the steps until I looked for longer! A great image. Fav
