I went "out of the box" this time!! I took this picture of the peacock at the plantation and wanted it to look like those old pictures painted on black velvet. It took me a while and I probably went about it all the wrong way but I was able to get the effect that I wanted. It was really fun and I felt very satisfied afterwards :)
Oh no, I do NOT think you went about this the wrong way! This is *gorgeous.* I love the dramatic blues and shades of black. The textures and vibrancy is amazing!
Suzie, I totally agree with Lindsey that you definitely did not go about this the wrong way - it is one of the most incredible photos I have seen. I have made it a fav.
Great job! There's no "wrong" way to do it, as long as you get the results you want! There may be easier ways, but I think you learn a lot through trial and error. I know when I do my processing, I probably don't go about it in the most efficient manner either!
Love the color and the black velvet was an amazing idea. It really makes everything pop. The feathers on the neck are exquisitely detailed. Great shot.
WOW! I saw your peacock photo on the pop page and loved it, then I had to find the other peacock photo you referred to....this is it! Such an amazing photograph, so impressive with the most vibrant blue I have ever seen. Good call on the black velvet background, its stunning!
Thanks for your comment on my Sagamore Bridge shot. I think I must follow you now!
The POP-ular page was only a start! You're way up the list on the top 20 this week! You've become a fan favorite around here...what fun! I'm just delighted for you!
