We were at the swamp garden yesterday and admiring all the lovely banana spiders when we saw this. This is not a banana spider web. I have never seen anything like it. When I blow it up, I can see a spider in the very middle. She has done an amazing job on her home! I was able to find the beginning and follow it around and around for a long ways. Wouldn't you love a video of her spinning this??
This is beautiful! The thumbnail looked like a fan tucked away in leaves. I didn't realize it was a spider web until I read your entry and enlarged it. I would love to see a web like that and yes, to watch her spin it!
The web is just perfect, and your photo, a perfectly wonderful way to save its beauty forever! I've never taken to the pictures of spiders, but their handiwork is exceptional. You got a beauty here!
what a cool picture... I remember as a kid, we would take a bottle and spay it with glue and capture the webb on that bottle by rotating it... it was pretty cool
I know I commented on your picture..at least I wrote a comment but again as I have done so in the past I forgot to press the post comment button. that spider web is fantastic..the biggest I have ever seen so far and so clear you can really see the spider.
