There is a commercial where a guy is sitting on the sofa with his girl and a giraffe comes along - there is some dialog or narrative and then the guy kisses the giraffe.
My number two grandson heads to college today. We had a going away party for him and I gave him a giraffe because when he showed me this commercial he was rolling with laughter. I still don't get it but his loved the little giraffe. He is used to getting silly gifts from me - last year he got a squawking chicken! You know, what do you get a teenager?? Nothing! Unless you have lots of $$$.
I know the commercial and I always end up shaking my head when I see that tiny giraffe. If your grandson explains the meaning to you, would you pass it on? This is a wonderful portrait showing such energy and zest for life. It doesn't hurt that your grandson is adorable!
It's a funny commercial! He looks so happy with his giraffe! Gifts with meaning or in jokes are so great! More meaningful than expensive things. He's a good looking fella! He's gonna turn a few heads at college! Well captured!
This picture is a treasure! He will always think of you when he looks at his giraffe......What a handsome, handsome boy.....looks like he is beaming with happiness. A fun shared moment.
Yep, you get him the giraffe and let him get his own girl! With good looks like that and that laughing smile, they'll be lining up beside that giraffe! (I would have guessed him to be your son, however!) My best wishes to him as he leaves for college; what an exciting time in his life! You were very clever with your send-off gift!
I'm so glad I could share my sailing picture with you. Alan lives in Lunenburg and keeps the boat moored in the Lunenburg Yacht Club. The were having boat rases with the young kids the two days we were there and it's so cute and fun to watch! (Lots of them!)
He is very adorable and has a great smile. It looks like he definitely got the joke and loves the giraffe. You are a very thoughtful grandma to remember the commercial and buy the giraffe. Sweet photo. :-)
