This is the excursion train at Bryson City, North Carolina. We took a four hour ride up into the Appalachian Mountains but it was a couple weeks early for the turning of the leaves - still mostly green.
What a pretty little train station! That sounds like a fun trip, even if the leaves weren't ready yet. It's so funny... I used to get excited about traveling by train, but now it feels like torture. Commuting really has a way of ruining things! ;-)
Love trains...this is such a neat little train station. What a great trip...the mountains are beautiful whether green, orange and yellow or white with snow.
Love places like this. Thanks for reminding me. A trip from here to the Mt. Airy area isn't that far, and I'm a huge weekend trip person. The miles on my car show it!
What a wonderful excuse to ride a train, and I'm betting the trip was beautiful, even without the fall color! Cute little station there, and I quite loved your clever play on words for the title!
