Sweet Gum

This beautiful Sweet Gum tree is ruining our neighbors driveway with it's big roots so today it is coming down. I am so sad. I always like the way it looks with the street light behind it. Even when there are no leaves left at all I love it. So last night I went and took pictures of it. I don't have a tripod so it wasn't easy to do but I was fairly pleased with the results of this one.

Lovely effect of the light through the leaves. It is always sad to remove a living tree because it inconveniences us, rather than because it is ailing.
