Swamp Garden

Yesterday we visited Magnolia Garden and Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. It was like going into the wilderness with the comfort of a boardwalk and a trail. It was teaming with wildlife - birds of all types and very, very large alligators! We were fortunate to be there on a weekday and only saw 3 other groups of people in the whole time we were there. I almost wore out my camera!
This is beautiful! I love the play of light and shadow. Isn't it great to go someplace like that and feel like you have it all to yourself?

How beautiful! I can only imagine all the sights you had to photograph! And don't you love it when you find something wonderful like this "in your own back yard"?

WOW! Now, the alligators I could do without, but this is such an unusual and captivating sight! I'm sure you just drank it all in.

This is a great picture of the swamp. And you are right, it's fun walking in a swamp land with the benefit (and safety) of a path and bridges over the water.

It looks like pea soup in the swamp. Thank goodness you had bridges to carry you across!
