Block Island

Block Island is off the coast of Rhode Island and we spent a couple of days there. It is a summer resort, a small island with a little harbor and safe anchorage. Tanya and I walked all over the place and thoroughly enjoyed it! And - there was a nice little pub right on the waters edge.

What a gorgeous view! I've always wanted to go out to the Block. If we were on the Sound side of the Cape, I'm sure we'd have gone by now, but being on the Atlantic side makes it tough. The rips around Monomoy are just ugly, and our poor old bathtub of a boat certainly is no speed demon. ;-)

come sit a spell and enjoy the view..it looks so inviting. Yes Rhode Island is beautiful. we stayed one week in Newport right at Chesapeak Bay.
