As you can see by the trees fall is there and the colors have begun to be really good! And our friends are dressed warm. We had some really really cold days on our trip - but always worth it!
I always love fall sailing! Some years, we sail into late October and there are some days that kind of make us wonder what we're still doing out there, but it's also some of the most peaceful, beautiful sailing of the year!
Re. your mooring ball comment - yup, I must say I'm pretty darned good... I'm so used to hooking the line in the first try that I get mad at myself when I don't. Then again, I'm lucky enough to have a great helmsman who always puts us right on the mark. It's always funny to watch the power boaters who can't get theirs at all. I'm far less skilled with an anchor, but my husband worked on a charter fishing boat in college, so he's an old pro!
