This is a picture of me with our friend, Lorraine. Lorraine was everyone's best friend while at Black Point. She had a small restaurant/bar and if you drank a beer you were to put money in the drawer etc. She put on a great Super Bowl Sunday party for us with lots of great food and her mother baked the best bread in the Bahamas! We all have much to thank Lorraine for!
Wonderful shot! Life is so different in the islands... there are very few places I can think of where the honor system still works (or maybe I've just been a city girl for too long now).
Like you, I take such pleasure in meeting friends as we travel! This is a nice photo to commemorate that visit, and that special restaurant owner who sells beer on the honor system!
Don't know who said it, but it's so true - "Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.” Looks like Lorraine meets that description. Great shot.
