What appears to be a pond reflecting the palm trees happens to be the driveway of the office building that I visit from time to time. The rain hitting us these days is significant....and welcome.
This is incredible. With all the flooding around here, there ought to be a lot of reflections. We're on a hill, so we're high and dry. Hope you are also, Ron.
@onewing Thank you Babs. We got a little break but winter will continue for a while and we'll (hopefully) have many more such days. On the other hand I think it's time for you to enjoy a little summer!
@redy4et Thanks Elizabeth. Yeah, that was a pretty good soaking. I do like that it gives us some rare photographic opportunities though. Some great shots our locals are posting!

@joysfocus Thanks Joy. People elsewhere in the world must think we're all crazy here gushing over rain and taking pictures of it while the news shows nothing but flooding, mudslides and destruction.
@Weezilou Thank you Louise. as I mentioned to Joy above, only those of us in So Cal do cartwheels when it rains as we run around capturing it in our photos. The newness is liable to wear off on us any day now. ;-)

@Weezilou I was just about to respond to your independent email - I thought it was the 16th, not the 17th? Both days are not real good for me, but I can probably sneak out for a bit on the 16th. (I did get this new 600 mm lens that would really come in handy at Safari Park!)
