Peace and Love Mon

Jamaican street musician. The happiest guy of the day.
What a joy when you can create your own happiness!

Since this is California, it's possible you took this just down the street, or have you flown off to distant lands?

Such a happy capture :)

And I bet his happiness was contagious. I like the blur you got in his hands. (I've been MIA myself, off and on a lot here in the last couple of weeks. Hoping it's a passing phase.)

What an amazing photo! I saw him first in Louise's flamingo boat and had to come to your page to see who you are, and there he was, first photo. Wowzy!

Great shot of happy Rastafarian. Didn't know you had been to Jamaica. I was there back in the 70's. Don't remember much about it. Wonder why. Hmmmm. Oh, anyway Fav!

Gosh, that man's grin/laugh is infectious. i like that he is playing the drum.. your composition is inspired - placing him inside the window frame, brilliant.. A warm, fun and inviting image - full of energy and life..

@Weezilou No, I am not off to any distant lands. I will only venture onto an airplane at gunpoint now. This gentleman was found in Laguna Beach, right on PCH at Main Beach. I'm pretty sure he's a regular.

@gilbertwood Thanks Denise. Happy indeed. Come to think of it you don't run across many sad Jamaicans.

@lyndemc Thanks Denise - and yes, the happiness was contagious. He was even happier when I slipped a few dollars in his jar. Hey, no problem going missing once in a while. Keeps the batteries charged.

@joysfocus Yes, if you remember Jamaica (or the 70's) you weren't there. Ha! As I mentioned to Louise, though, this happened to be in that Jamaican hotbed, Laguna Beach. Thanks for stopping by!

@jorlam Wow, so many kind words! Thanks so much - and you are right, his happiness was truly infectious. And he was a good musician too!

You should take him a copy of the photo (with the flamingo). I think he's laugh a big one (and probably reply as Joseph Snaith did!)
