Signs of Spring

Broke out the macro lens and wandered around the back yard to view the vegetation that's coming back to life. This is one of the geraniums - or as a former latin student I guess it's more properly termed gerania. Apologies for the recent absence. Took a little one week time out there. Hopefully I'll be able to fill in the holes shortly - including a missed Flamingo Friday.
Absolutely beautiful detail and image! Fav!

This is beautiful! If you can just do one photo for last week, make it Flamingo Friday! Smile.

Love the bright color of the bloom on the dark background! I was doing the same thing this morning in my yard--checking out what was blooming. Seems everything is opening up early this year. And lo and behold, it's actually raining tonight. More should be in bloom tomorrow.

And I've been wielding the new 400mm! Got my first hummingbird of the season, so I might switch off to macro again for a few! Practice practice practice!
