Big Kitty by stray_shooter

Big Kitty

Here's another photo that I've been sitting on for about a year......for good reason. I shot this at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but was unhappy with it because the background was dirt and a chain link fence. So I decided to apply some Photoshop techniques that I've been learning lately to make it look a little more appealing. It's not that great a job, IMO, but it's desperation time.
This kitty looks a bit bigger than my Katniss...haha! Well done...I would have never known. I don't know how to change the background yet and I love the green grass vs. chain link and dirt. Fav

On first look, my thought was, "WHERE did he find the tiger in such a beautiful setting?!" This looks mighty good to me; clearly I didn't even guess! Many of us currently seems to be getting some PS education!

Clever processing, what a great job.

I have been teaching a friend of mine Photoshop this afternoon. It was lovely to be able to visit her after over 2 months of lockdown.

Lockdown has been relaxed slightly this week and there have been no new cases of Covid-19 in New South Wales in the last 24 hours. Hope it stays that way.

If you hadn’t told, I wouldn’t have said. Very credible and a majestic animal!

Very well edited Ron a stunning resulting image full of colour and detail:)

I think we should look on it as an opportunity to learn rather than as desperation time. Not that what we call it changes the facts but it just makes it seem more positive. LOL

I can't see any fence. So great job and beautiful cat!

@gardenfolk Much appreciated! Yes, I believe our fellow kitties would be about the size of this guy's paw. He's much larger in real life than it appears in the photo.

@Weezilou Thanks, Louise. I've been taking PS lessons for years, but I rarely seem to apply those lessons. But the current situation has pretty much forced me to utilize those skills. It's really a lot of fun, huh?

@onewing Thanks Babs. Teaching Photoshop definitely makes the time go by, I'm sure. Congrats on cracking the door open on lockdown. Hope you guys are fully out of jail soon.

@gilbertwood Thanks Denise! Sweet indeed!

@domenicododaro Thanks Dom. I'm sure a trained eye can spot such deception quickly and easily. Thanks for not ratting me out....in the future (when I may be less inclined to be so forthcoming) ;-)

@pcoulson Thanks, Peter. Imagine what I could have done with that awesome new lens of yours!

@gardencat Thanks Joanne. I like your way of looking at things. ;-)

@gardencat I just got a message today from a friend who said that in Tibet they think of a quarantine as a retreat! I used to pay money to go on retreats and study, so I'm with you! Stay positive and see the good opportunity we're having! Right Ron? @stray_shooter

True story. A guy who worked for me had a birthday and his wife decided to surprise him and give him a session in with the tigers at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. So on the day, she bundled him into the car with the kids and off they went to Dreamworld. He was initially a bit underwhelmed but that changed when he found out he was booked to go in with the tigers. Her response when he worked out what was happening was "You wanted pussy?
I'm giving you some serious pussy." LOL

@terryliv Love it! Would be a thrill to get that kind of pussy! Did you manage to get the Tiger King series broadcast in Oz? It's America as only America can do things....which is to say incredibly ridiculous.
