Don't Worry, Bee Happy by stray_shooter

Don't Worry, Bee Happy

Another long trek out into the back yard today where spring is in full effect. I decided that I needed to reacquaint myself with my underused Sony macro lens and set off to see how I could do with various foliage. I was actually intending to shoot the tiny flowers found in the bougainvillea leaves, when I was a bit surprised to find a tiny bee with a similar interest - the tiny flowers, that is, not the use of a macro lens....than again, who knows. Maybe he had his own version of a macro lens. Those are some sizable eyes after all!
awesome shot, ron. that bee looks sinister! aces!

@Weezilou I have to confess that I had no idea what a steampunk bee is. So of course off to google I went.....and now I'm even more clueless!! I did recognize the clever rhyme though! Thanks, Louise.

@maggiemae Thanks Maggie. Not a wasp - or maybe not the ones I know of. This guy was really tiny. I tried to look up the type, but had no luck. The closest I could come was some kind of yellow jacket.

@stray_shooter OK...I, too, confess I was clueless about Steampunk until I started seeing Mike Gifford using a certain style and then "our Joy" also made more of an introduction for me. @joysfocus So Joy, is this bee a bit "Steampunk" with his goggles and gaudy, skin tight, aerodynamic clothing?
