My Town 003

This isn't quite my town, but the next town over. Close enough, and acceptable to me since my town does not have this beautiful lake and I was anxious to put a new lens to work. This is a popular place for people to walk and get their exercise in as there is a path that circles the lake. But with COVID-19 upon us, it's one-way only, counterclockwise.
Beautiful shot of the lake and walking path. It’s a good idea to have it set for on-way foot traffic.

Looks beautiful. What town is this? Love the reflections in the water.

I think that is close enough to call yours - what a stunning capture!

Stunning capture of this gorgeous lake and surroundings. Are those jacaranda trees looking so lovely?

Your camera and lens work beautifully! fav

What a lovely peaceful scene and jacaranda time too. It will be a few months before the jacarandas are in flower here.

Ha ha yet again!! You and I are posting similar photos at times :) Although I'll never get a flamingo!!!

Great perspective, colour and reflected light, looks a beautiful place to spend some time with your camera Ron:)

So beautiful. Your new lens worked perfectly! The public trails in the city of Dallas have been mobbed, in the suburbs, they are less crowded.

Beautiful shot with your new lens!

Very nice- some really nice blue and green tones here!

Beautiful landscape shot

@redy4et Thanks, Elizabeth. I found out about the one-way the hard way. Oops.

@gardenfolk This is Rancho Santa Margarita - south OC. Big time bedroom community.

@koalagardens Thanks for agreeing with me. I've officially claimed it as my "other" town!
June 15th, 2020
@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana. The lavender colored one is a jacaranda. I believe the others are pepper trees and sycamores. They're all nice trees for the area.

@maggiemae Thanks Maggie, I'm feeling pretty good about the new toys.
June 15th, 2020
@onewing Thanks Babs. I love this time of year when the jacarandas are in bloom. Just a few more weeks. Hope you share yours when they bloom.

@gilbertwood Somehow we stay in sync. I'm sure you'll get a flamingo soon. Thanks, Denise.

@pcoulson Thanks, Peter. Yes, it's quite a scenic area. I've shot from there before, but I think I'll be spending a little more time there soon.

@gamelee Thanks, Lee. It's a beautiful area - cleanliness assured by hefty HOA fees! ;-)

@pdulis Wow, high praise indeed! Thanks so much, Peter.

@lynnz Much appreciated, Lynn.

@louannwarren Thanks for the nice words, Lou Ann. Hopefully Dallas opens up for all pretty soon.
June 15th, 2020
@dutchothotmailcom Thanks Esther. I'm liking the new lens. ;-)

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. Blues and greens reminds me of the old Fujichrome days!

@markkoso65 Thanks so much, Mark. Really appreciate it.

@bkbinthecity Thank you kindly, Brian.

@stray_shooter I was born and grew up in Pacific Palisades. It use to be a middle class sleepy little town but now its been taken over by more Hollywood stars.

@stray_shooter Yes- I think of that too. I never liked Fuji film for that reason- it looked fine when your subject was natural but it never looked good on people and I was shooting a lot of people in my 35mm days!
